Juventus Edges Past 10-Man Lazio with 1-0 Victory to Level with Napoli in Serie A

Juventus won against 10-man Lazio 1-0 on Saturday to draw even with leaders of Serie A Napoli in terms of points.

Five minutes before the end, Mario Gila’s own goal secured the victory for the home team in the Turin match. Lazio, who had played admirably after their defender Alessio Romagnoli was sent out in the 24th minute, was severely hurt by this loss.

The game’s pivotal moment occurred when Romagnoli was shown a straight red card for fouling Juventus’ Pierre Kalulu as he was breaking toward goal early in the half. For the most part of the game, Lazio held off Juventus’ mediocre onslaught despite being down a man. Finally, Juventus took advantage of a slip-up as Gila unintentionally turned Juan Cabal’s low cross into his own net.

“It was a difficult game against a strong opponent,” Thiago Motta, the Juventus coach, remarked. “This is our first home league win since August, and I believe we deserved it.”

Lazio, who are in fifth place right now, was upset that Douglas Luiz of Juventus was not given a red card for striking Patric. Angelo Mariano Fabiani, the sporting director of Lazio, expressed his worries, saying, “That is violent conduct and it should have been a red card.” We sense that someone is riding us around.”

Serie A Standings

Even though Juventus has played one more game than Napoli, they are still behind their opponents on goal differential. In a pivotal encounter with Empoli on Sunday, Napoli will have an opportunity to hold onto their lead. Inter Milan, who are currently only two points behind, will have a difficult matchup with Roma.

AC Milan Holds Off Udinese Amid Controversy

In an exciting match in Serie A, AC Milan defeated Udinese 1-0 after overcoming a difficult contest. Though Tijjani Reijnders’ sending off in the thirteenth minute meant Milan had to play the last hour with 10 men, Samuel Chukwueze’s goal in the thirteenth proved to be the game-winner.

Coach Paulo Fonseca of Milan described the game as “two matches in one.” “The first part showcased the character and quality we want to see from the team.”

Milan showed fortitude in resisting Udinese’s pressure, even after being dismissed. Christian Kabasele scored a goal for Udinese in stoppage time, but VAR disqualified it for offside, nearly causing the hosts to lose their cool.

Ultras Protest at San Siro

The club’s “ultras” supporters staged a silent protest to protest what they believed to be a campaign by the media and law enforcement against them, casting a shadow on Milan‘s victory. Recently, these supporters have come under fire, which has resulted in arrests and a number of accusations, including violence and extortion.

Amidst the escalating tensions, the Curva Sud supporters sent a clear message by holding a banner in support of their arrested peers.
