Anushka Sharma’s Heartfelt Retirement Post for Virat Kohli After India’s T20 World Cup Triumph

Anushka Sharma hailed her husband Virat Kohli’s retirement from T20 Internationals with a heartfelt Instagram post after India’s victory in the T20 World Cup final.

Kohli, who was named Player of the Match in Bridgetown, Barbados, and who scored a match-winning 76 off 59 balls, declared his retirement following India’s second T20 World Cup victory.

Following India’s second T20 World Cup victory, Anushka Sharma wrote a touching message for her husband Virat Kohli, referring to the star batsman as “my home”.

In the event final on Saturday against South Africa, Kohli, who was a part of the 2011 ODI World Cup winning team, scored his first fifty runs of the tournament with a 76 off 59 balls that included six fours and two sixes, leading India to a competitive 176 for seven. After leading the Men in Blue to their second T20 World Cup victory and winning player of the match in Bridgetown, Barbados, he also declared his retirement from T20 Internationals.

Soon after the team won the exciting final, Sharma, who was supporting her husband back home in India, published the picture on Instagram.

“AND… I love this man @viratkohli. So grateful to call you my home – now go have a glass of sparkling water for me to celebrate this!” She wrote a caption for the photo of Kohli holding the prize.

The actor, who is friends with the batsman and has a three-year-old daughter named Vamika and a four-month-old boy named Akaay, congratulated Team India on their incredible achievement in a different tweet.

“Our daughter’s biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on tv….. Yes, My darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people. What a phenomenal victory and what a legendary achievement!! CHAMPIONS – CONGRATULATIONS!!” Written by Anushka.

The famous couple dated for a number of years before getting married in 2017.

Following the victory, Virat Kohli was presumably on a video conversation with his family, including wife Anushka Sharma.

Still, Virat Kohli’s emotional display turned into one of the evening’s main highlights. Following the victory, Kohli was presumably on a video call with Anushka Sharma, his wife. The right-handed batter had tears in his eyes as soon as the call was made.
