England to Host India Men and Women in 2025: A Comprehensive Schedule Revealed
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Unveils Exciting Home Fixtures for 2025.
The England men’s and women’s teams will both be hosting India in parallel series, according to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which has released an exciting schedule of matches for the 2025 cricket season. In addition, when India returns in the summer of 2026, Lord’s will create history by hosting its first-ever women’s Test match.
The West Indies women’s and men’s teams will visit together in 2025, and the England men will play a one-off Test against Zimbabwe before hosting South Africa for an ODI and Twenty20I series to end the summer.
On May 21, England Women take on West Indies in the first of three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), with three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) to follow, at Canterbury’s St Lawrence Ground to kick off the international season.
The men’s first international match since the 2007 World T20 will be a four-day Test match against Zimbabwe, which will take place at Trent Bridge from May 22–25. The white-ball sides will next play three ODIs and three T20Is against the West Indies.
The opening match of England Men’s five-Test series against India is scheduled for June 20 at Headingley. Thereafter, there will be back-to-back matches at Edgbaston and Lord’s, Old Trafford, and The Oval.
Concurrently, England Women will play five Twenty20 Internationals against India, with the first match scheduled for June 28 at Trent Bridge. The teams will also play three One-Day Internationals (ODI) series at Lord’s.
England Men’s international schedule will finish with six white-ball matches against South Africa before heading to Ireland for a three-match ODI series, since the Hundred is expected to occupy a large portion of August.
“Staging England Men’s and England Women’s series alongside each other has been popular with fans and supported the continued growth of the women’s game, with both the Ashes last year and the Pakistan series earlier this year proving successful,” the ECB’s chief executive officer, Richard Gould,
“I’m thrilled that we’ll be doing this for the India and West Indies series in the upcoming year. I hope that cricket fans will turn out in large numbers to support both the men’s and women’s teams, as they are in for a fantastic treat.
“Every cricket summer’s highlight and major draw is the India tour. Our women’s series are always quite tough, and the men’s Test series that concluded here last year was an absolute thriller. I’m sure the matchup the next year will be equally thrilling. After this year’s men’s Test series, I’m happy to announce that we’ll also be inviting both West Indies teams back for a white-ball series.
“After more than 20 years since their last visit, it will be historic to welcome Zimbabwe back for a men’s test match. Test cricket is a highly cherished sport in our nation, and we are aware that we must play a significant role in assisting developing Test-cricketing nations to ensure the long-term survival of this format.
“I’m also happy to announce that the first-ever women’s Test match at Lord’s will feature India Women versus England Women in 2026. It’s going to be an extremely meaningful and unique experience.”
