India easily defeated both New Zealand (214 runs) and Nepal (132 runs) in the Super Six stage to set up a semifinal match against South Africa, which they won by two wickets.
Having three batters among the top five run scorers in the tournament, India has been the most formidable squad. With 389 runs in six games, Captain Uday Saharan leads all scorers in the tournament. Musheer Khan comes in third with 338 runs in six games. With 294 runs in six games, Sachin Dhas is ranked third in the meanwhile. However, Saumy Pandey has taken 17 wickets in six matches, including a four-fer, making him the third greatest wicket-taker in the tournament.

The Australians defeated Namibia four wickets at the outset, thrashed Zimbabwe by 225 runs, and then beat Sri Lanka six wickets. After Australia defeated England by 110 runs (using the DLS technique) in the Super Six stage, the weather forced them to postpone their match against the West Indies.
They advanced to the finals in the semi-finals after defeating Pakistan by a slim margin of one wicket.
