NBA Playoffs Updates 2024: Celtics’ Victory Meanwhile Thunder Rally in Series Tie
In the latest NBA playoff action, the Boston Celtics showcased their prowess by securing a commanding 3-1 lead in the East semifinal series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
With two of their best players sitting out due to injuries—Jarrett Allen (ribs) and Donovan Mitchell (calf)—the Cavaliers were forced to play to the verge of elimination.
With a dominant 3-1 lead in their East semifinal series, the Boston Celtics defeated the severely undermanned Cleveland Cavaliers 109-102 on Monday night in Game 4. Jayson Tatum scored 33 points in the victory.
The Celtics can eliminate Cleveland with a victory in Game 5 on Wednesday night at home thanks to Jaylen Brown’s 27 points.
If needed, Friday’s game would return to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Dallas franchise playoff record of 13 blocks on Monday night, 100-96, to tie their Western Conference semifinal series at 2-2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points in the victory.

On the rival team’s home court, the two teams divided a pair. Oklahoma City will host Game 5 on Wednesday night.
With 21 points, P.J. Washington led Dallas in scoring once more, followed by Doncic with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Kyrie Irving scored nine points in the series, his second game with fewer than ten points.
