NBA roundup: Bulls rally to prevail over the Wolves in overtime
After halftime, Coby White and DeMar DeRozan combined for 51 of their 66 points, helping the home Chicago Bulls overcome a 23-point deficit to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 129-123 in overtime on Tuesday.

DeRozan and White each finished with 33 points. For the Bulls, Andre Drummond finished with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Vucevic Nikola scored 24 more points.
Towns scored 33 points, while Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 38 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists. Jaden McDaniels (13 points) and Naz Reid (10 rebounds) both scored in double figures, while Rudy Gobert finished with 12 points and 16 rebounds.
After a rocky start to the fourth quarter, Dallas overcame to win in New York, led by 36 points from Kyrie Irving in his Brooklyn comeback.
After a contentious time in Brooklyn, Irving was transferred by the Nets a year ago, but he did not receive the same video highlights that Kevin Durant did the previous week. Rather, during pregame introductions, Irving was greeted with a “welcome back” message on the scoreboard with Markieff Morris and former Net Seth Curry.
For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic scored 35 points, nine assists, and a season-high 18 rebounds. The Nets lost 10 games below.500 and went from 7–20 in their previous 27 games despite 28 points by Mikal Bridges.
Phoenix dominated visiting Milwaukee thanks to the 32 points produced by Devin Booker and the 28 points and 10 rebounds from Kevin Durant.
The Suns have won 16 of their last 22 games. Bradley Beal led the team with 25 points, a season-high 10 rebounds, and three steals. Jusuf Nurkic chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
For the Bucks, who dropped to 1-4 under new coach Doc Rivers, Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Milwaukee lost Khris Middleton to a sprained left ankle in the first quarter, and Bucks star Damian Lillard was sidelined for the game.
Myles Turner added 21 points and Pascal Siakam had a team-high 29 points as Indiana hung on to defeat Houston in Indianapolis.
The Pacers held a 14-point advantage when the Rockets rallied, continuing a run that they had started halfway through the third quarter into the fourth. In the last quarter, Jalen Green scored twelve of his thirty points for the game. With 46 seconds remaining, he made a 3-pointer to bring Houston within 130-127.
However, Tyrese Haliburton responded with a challenging driving layup at the 21-second mark, and the Pacers prevailed despite three desperate heaves from the Rockets’ behind the arc.
Lauri Markkanen led Utah to victory over Oklahoma City in Salt Lake City with 33 points and 11 rebounds.
With 17 points in the third quarter, Markkanen ignited a comeback in the second half and clinched the victory with a game-winning 3-pointer in the closing seconds. Utah won its second straight game thanks to a 22-point and nine-rebound performance from John Collins.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 28 points. In the defeat, Chet Holmgren added 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots, while Jalen Williams had 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
With ten players out, Donte DiVincenzo led host New York to victory with a game-high 32 points.
With 1:44 remaining, DiVincenzo made 12 of his 18 attempts, including a 3-pointer that increased New York’s advantage to 116-109. Jalen Brunson contributed 27 points and eight assists to the Knicks’ victory, their tenth in their last eleven games. However, he was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be an ankle injury. For New York, Isaiah Hartenstein and Precious Achiuwa each contributed 17 points.
Vince Williams Jr. led Memphis, which dropped its sixth straight game, with 19 points. GG Jackson scored 16 points and David Roddy chipped in 15 to headline a Grizzlies bench that amassed 54 points.
In the Heat’s victory over visiting Orlando, Jimmy Butler led seven Miami players in double figures with 23 points.
With eighteen points, seven assists, and six rebounds, Terry Rozier led Miami to its third victory in four games and a 3-1 season series win over Orlando. Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro both scored 14 points.
With nine rebounds, seven assists, and twenty-three points, Paolo Banchero put an end to Orlando’s winning run of three games. Wendell Carter Jr. scored 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field. Markelle Fultz and Franz Wagner each had 13 points.
