NBA Roundup: Kyrie Irving Leads Dallas Mavericks to Victory Over Denver Nuggets 107-105
Kyrie Irving’s buzzer-beating heroics propelled the Dallas Mavericks to a 107-105 win over the Denver Nuggets, breaking the Nuggets’ five-game winning streak.
Dallas concluded with a season-high 22 offensive rebounds led by Irving, who finished with 24 points and nine assists. P.J. Washington pulled down 11 rebounds, while Dereck Lively II scored 14 points and collected 8 rebounds.
After trailing by 13 points in the fourth quarter, Denver (47-21) overcame the deficit to lead 105-102 until Doncic’s 3-pointer with 25.1 seconds remaining leveled the score. In order to set up Irving’s game-winning basket, Dallas (39-29) called a timeout after Jamal Murray‘s attempt on Denver’s last possession failed.

In Austin, Texas, Victor Wembanyama once again packed the stat sheet, leading San Antonio over Brooklyn with 33 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, and seven blocked shots.
With 24 points from Keldon Johnson and 25 points from Devin Vassell, the Spurs (15-53) ended a three-game losing streak.
With 31 points, Cam Thomas led the Nets (26-42). For Brooklyn, who lost its third straight game, Dennis Schroder scored 19 points, Day’Ron Sharpe had 15, and Nic Claxton finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Bobby Portis, who came off the bench and finished with 31 points on 13 of 20 shots, matched his career high. His explosive play in the second quarter gave Milwaukee the lead and helped them win against visiting Phoenix.
The Bucks (44-24) prevailed despite the absence of two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was forced to sit out with hamstring discomfort. Damian Lillard added 31 points as well.
Bradley Beal scored 28 points on 11 of 15 shots from the field to lead the Suns (39-29). Grayson Allen, a former guard for the Bucks, finished with 25 points, 6 of 11 3-pointers, and 8 assists.

Orlando defeated visiting Toronto with a game-high 29 points from Paolo Banchero.
Moritz Wagner scored 14 points, while Franz Wagner added 22 more for the Magic (40–28). With a 113-103 victory over the Raptors on Friday, Orlando won its second consecutive game and third overall. Jalen Suggs scored ten points for Orlando.
With 18 points off the bench, Jordan Nwora led the Raptors (23-45), while Gary Trent Jr. added 15. Immanuel Quickley and Bruce Brown both had 12 for Toronto, which dropped its ninth attempt in ten attempts and its seventh straight game.
CELTICS 130, WIZARDS 104
With ten 3-pointers and thirty points, Sam Hauser scored a career-high for Boston, defeating the home team Washington.
Out of his first 12 3-point attempts, 10 were made by Hauser. With 7:43 left in the third quarter, he walked to the locker room, rolled his left ankle on his thirteenth attempt at a 3-pointer, and did not return to the game. Deep into the victory, the Celtics (53–14) were 24-for–50.
Washington’s Jordan Poole scored a game-high 31 points (11–57). For the Wizards, who had dropped twenty of their previous twenty-two games, Justin Champagnie finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.
HAWKS 110, CLIPPERS 93
Atlanta defeated Los Angeles to snap a three-game losing streak, led by Dejounte Murray’s 21 points and 10 assists and De’Andre Hunter’s 20 points.
After leading scorer Trae Young went down with a finger injury that required surgery, the Hawks (30-37) moved to 6-5 thanks to 18 points and 12 rebounds from Jalen Johnson and 15 points and 13 rebounds from Clint Capela.
The Clippers (42-25) received 28 points from Kawhi Leonard and 26 from Paul George, while James Harden only had nine points after missing the previous two games due to a left shoulder ailment. Despite this, Harden was able to surpass Vince Carter for the 20th spot on the NBA‘s all-time scoring list with 25,730 career points.
