The NBA’s poorest Pistons, led by Jaden Ivey with 26 points and Cade Cunningham with 23 points, have won back-to-back games for the first time since late October. Detroit has only won eight games this season, despite defeating the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. Ivey made a career-high 7 of 7 three-pointers. For the Pistons, rookie Marcus Sasser scored 17 points and dished out a career-high 11 assists.

Portland lost its third consecutive game despite a career-high 49 points, eight rebounds, and six assists from Jerami Grant. Anfernee Simons missed the last 22 minutes because of a sprained left ankle, although he still scored 29 points in 25 minutes.

The Trail Blazers, led by Kris Murray with 12 points and Jabari Walker with 17 points and 11 rebounds, scored the first basket of overtime and were never able to score again.

SUNS 129, JUZZ 115

The Phoenix Suns defeated the visiting Utah Jazz team with 31 points from Kevin Durant and 30 from Bradley Beal.

With eight rebounds and seven assists, Durant led Phoenix to a 40-28 lead after scoring 19 points in the first quarter. Phoenix won its third straight game after shooting a remarkable 59.1 percent from the field and making 14 of 29 3-pointers. Beal had seven assists and made six of the Suns’ three-pointers. Eric Gordon finished with 19 points.

With 22 points, Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz. In the defeat, John Collins scored twenty-one points and pulled down fourteen rebounds, while Collin Sexton finished with nine assists and nine points.

TIMBERWOLVES 129, BUCKS 105

Minnesota easily defeated Milwaukee thanks to 26 points and nine assists from Anthony Edwards.

With 19 points in the game, Karl-Anthony Towns helped Minnesota win after falling short against the Chicago Bulls in OT the previous two nights. Rudy Gobert finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds, Mike Conley added 18 points and went 6-for-7 from beyond the arc, and Naz Reid finished with 17 points off the bench.

Milwaukee was led by AJ Green, who scored a game-high 27 points off the bench. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 17 points and Jae Crowder scored 21 for the Bucks, who are now 1-5 under Doc Rivers as head coach.

WARRIORS 131, PACERS 109

Golden State defeated Indiana in Indianapolis as Jonathan Kuminga added 18 points and Stephen Curry made his first seven 3-pointers in a 42-point performance.

Curry made 15 of his 22 total shots, and Kuminga made 9 of his 16, assisting the visitors in making 55.9% of their attempts. When it came to 3-pointers, they were 17 for 32 (53.1%). With 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench, rookie Gui Santos provided Golden State a boost; Dario Saric and Andrew Wiggins each scored 11 points.

With 16 points and 8 rebounds, Pascal Siakam led six Pacers in double figures. Myles Turner led Indiana, which ended a two-game winning streak, with 15 points, followed by Jalen Smith with 14, Aaron Nesmith with 13, Bennedict Mathurin with 11, and Andrew Nembhard with 10.

MAGIC 127, SPURS 111

Franz Wagner scored 34 points to lead Orlando, who was on a mission in San Antonio, to a decisive victory.

For Orlando, Paolo Banchero scored 16, Cole Anthony scored 12, Moritz Wagner and Wendell Carter Jr. scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, while Jalen Suggs added 17 points. The Magic defeated San Antonio in all five games and won the season series.

San Antonio, who has lost the first two of their nine games in 21 days and six of their previous seven games, is led by Devin Vassell, who scored 30 points, all of which came in the second half. Victor Wembanyama added 15 points, Zach Collins and Keldon Johnson each contributed 12, while Tre Jones and Blake Wesley each contributed 10.

NUGGETS 114, LAKERS 106

With 29 points from Jamal Murray and 27 from Michael Porter Jr., visiting Denver defeated Los Angeles to start a three-game road trip.

With 24 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists, Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets to victory in their last three games, expanding their winning run to ten games to 8-2. Porter pulled down eight rebounds, while Murray finished with seven assists.

Playing in their first game since going 4-2 on a two-week road trip, Anthony Davis finished with 32 points and nine rebounds, and LeBron James finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists for the Lakers.

BULLS 118, GRIZLLIES 110

Andre Drummond finished the game with 21 points and 13 rebounds off the bench, while DeMar DeRozan scored 30 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Chicago defeated host Memphis for the first time in seven games on their four-game road trip.

For the Bulls, Nikola Vucevic pulled down 10 rebounds in addition to scoring 20 points. For the fourth time in a row, Coby White scored 20 points in a game. In addition, White grabbed six rebounds and disheveled eight assists.

For the Grizzlies, GG Jackson II scored a career-high 27 points, while Scotty Pippen Jr. scored 15 points. Vince Williams Jr. nearly recorded a triple-double with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 28 points and Santi Aldama contributed 15 points.

MAVERICKS 122, KNICKS 118

Luka Doncic led visiting Dallas to victory over depleted New York with a triple-double of 39 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds.

With 19 points from Tim Hardaway Jr., Dallas won its third straight game and led from start to finish. Josh Green contributed fifteen, Kyrie Irving scored sixteen, and Derrick Jones Jr. added eighteen points.

With 36 points, Donte DiVincenzo led New York and scored seven 3-pointers. With center Isaiah Hartenstein out of the game late in the second quarter due to a strained left Achilles, the Knicks were down to seven men in action. Hart led New York, which has only lost twice in twelve games, with 23 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds.

CAVALIERS 118, NETS 95

Cleveland put the game out of reach and easily defeated host Brooklyn for its eighth straight victory thanks to a 21-0 surge to start the second half.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers to victory for the 16th time in their previous 17 games. He also finished with a game-high 27 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals, and three blocks. Evan Mobley scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Jarrett Allen added 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Darius Garland added 14 points and seven assists.

Following the trade deadline transactions of Spencer Dinwiddie and Royce O’Neale earlier on Thursday, the Nets were down to nine players. Jordan Goodwin, Dennis Schroeder, and recently signed Keita Bates-Diop were not yet ready to play for Brooklyn. Mikal Bridges led the struggling Nets with five 3-pointers and 26 points.
