ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Fixtures for 2024
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Fixtures have been confirmed.
The groups and fixtures for the ninth edition of the 20-over showcase were declared on Friday, January 5, with a total of three USA and six Caribbean venues will be used for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
Ten of the twenty countries will play their opening encounter of the 29-day competition in the United States. The sixteen matches are slated to take place in Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York, while the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is set for June 9 at the brand-new Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island.
There will be forty-one games spread over six Caribbean islands. Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana will host the semi-finals, while Barbados will host the championship game on June 29.
On June 1, the tournament’s co-hosts, the USA, will play their neighbors, Canada. On June 2, the West Indies, who are also hosting, will play Papua New Guinea in Guyana.
The competition is divided into four groups of five teams each, with the top two teams from each group moving on to the Super Eight stage of the competition, which takes place before the knockout semifinals and championship match.
Co-hosts USA are joined in Group A by bitter rivals India and Pakistan, as well as Canada, making their event debut, and Ireland, a team from Europe.
The two most recent Men’s T20 World Cup champions, Australia and England, will play Namibia, Scotland, and Oman in Group B.
Group D pits South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, and Nepal against one other; the West Indies are grouped with New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea.
