Former South African Medium Pacer Vernon philander says “Jasprit Bumrah is the most complete bowler in the world”

Jasprit Bumrah doesn’t appear to have any flaws in his armor, according to Vernon Philander.

The praise for Jasprit Bumrah never stops. Bumrah became the first Indian pacer to reach the top of the ICC Test rankings after crushing England in what is being regarded as one of the best performances by any fast bowler in an Indian Test match. Former South Africa pacer Vernon Philander referred to Bumrah as the world’s best complete bowler, adding to the already immense respect that English batsmen have for the Indian batsman.

Jasprit Bumrah is the most complete bowler in the world

In the Visakhapatnam Test, Bumrah scored 9/91 to help India win by 106 runs and square the five-match series 1-1. India’s advantage came from his six wickets in the opening innings. Bumrah hit Ollie Pope with an unplayable yorker that will probably be cherished for years to come.

With 225 wickets in 64 Test matches for South Africa, Philander claimed that Bumrah appeared to be without any weaknesses in his armor.

“At the moment, Bumrah is the (most) complete bowler. “His success at the Test level can be attributed to his exceptional skills and his mastery of holding a line and length,” Philander said in an interview with “PTI Bhasha” held on the fringes of the SA T20 Tournament.”Initially, he wanted to bowl wicket-taking deliveries all the time and leaked runs but now he has learnt consistency,” he said.

The USA, the West Indies, and India will host the T20 World Cup in June. India, the defending champions, will be among the favorites to win.

According to Philander, Bumrah will be a major asset to the team since he has developed into the kind of bowler who is impossible to write off in the shortest format.

“He challenges the hitters up front, strokes the new ball, and brings the stumps into action. “That is the skill set you want in the T20 World Cup, and he is phenomenal with those change-ups and deadly yorkers,” the man said.

The seasoned Philander, who became the second fastest person to reach 50 Test wickets in just seven games, said of Bumrah, his pace partner Mohammed Shami, “I feel he is going to play a massive part in the tournament and perhaps also be the best seamer.” He was also full of praise for Shami, who “uses his seam beautifully.”

It’s quite thrilling to watch how he has emerged as the current dominant player. The plans he had made when he arrived in South Africa to bowl. He claimed that bowling here is difficult and requires a different mindset than bowling on flat subcontinental surfaces.
