The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stands as the world’s most renowned cricket league.
Ten franchise compete in the league, which was established by the BCCI in 2007. Every year, the IPL is typically held in the summer, from March to May. As a result of its special window in the ICC Future Tours Programme, fewer international cricket tours take place during the Indian Premier League.

IPL 2023 Winner CSK
Chennai Super Kings won the IPL 2023 final by defeating Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets. For CSK, this is their fifth IPL victory. With their fifth title victory, Chennai Super Kings tie the Mumbai Indians after beating Gujarat Titans by five wickets thanks to a six and a four from Ravindra Jadeja in the final two deliveries. The winner received 20 crores in prize money, while the runner-up received 13 crores. Shubman Gill of the Gujrat Titans won both the orange cap and player of the tournament after amassing 890 runs in 17 games, while Mohammed Shami of the Purple Cap holders claimed 28 wickets.
IPL 2022 Winner Gujarat Titans
The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosted the Indian Premier League final of 2022 on May 29, 2022. In their inaugural season, Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets to win both the match and the championship. Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Titans, was named player of the game.
IPL 2021 Winner CSK
The Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, hosted the Indian Premier League final of 2021 on October 15, 2021. The tournament and final were rescheduled to the United Arab Emirates in May 2021 after being postponed from their original May 2021 date at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad owing of the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to win their fourth IPL championship, Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by a margin of 27 runs.
IPL 2020 Winner Mumbai Indians
The Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals squared off in the 2020 Indian Premier League final on November 10, 2020, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. IPL 2019 Winner Mumbai Indians
The Titans faced off once more in the 2019 IPL final. The Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians rematched in the championship game. It came down to the final bowl in the final. Malinga’s off-cutter was too much for Shardul Thakur, who was looking for at least one run for the super over. Mumbai Indians won the title for a record-tying fourth time as a result. As a result, the Mumbai Indians won their fourth IPL championship and became the most successful team in IPL history.
IPL 2018 Winner CSK
On May 27, 2018, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings squared off in the Indian Premier League final at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The IPL final was played at 19:00 IST for the first time in its history; the previous ten seasons’ finals were all held at 20:00 IST.
Chennai won their third IPL championship, defeating Hyderabad by eight wickets. With an innings of 117 not out off 57 balls, Chennai’s Shane Watson was named player of the match.

IPL 2017 Winner Mumbai Indians
The Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant played the 2017 Indian Premier League championship game on May 21, 2017, at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
In their fourth IPL final, Mumbai won their third championship by defeating Pune by a margin of one run. After batting 47, Krunal Pandya of Mumbai was named man of the match. A final attendance of 34,158 people meant that the event was sold out.
IPL 2016 Winner Sunrisers Hyderabad
By a mere 8 runs, the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the championship match. As captain, David Warner skillfully guided the club through the season. However, in practically every RCB game throughout the season, the Virat Kohli and Ab de Villiers tandem stole the show. In the 16 innings he played, Virat amassed 4 centuries and 7 half-centuries! The winner of the orange cap for the season ought to be obvious.
IPL 2015 Winner Mumbai Indians
The Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings contested the Indian Premier League championship on May 24, 2015, at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. These two teams had previously faced off in the 2010 and 2013 finals, making this their third meeting in the championship game.
In their third IPL final, Mumbai defeated Chennai by 41 runs to claim their second IPL title. They had triumphed against the same opposition in the 2013 Indian Premier League at the same location. In an attempt to win their third championship, Chennai was participating in their sixth IPL final. After hitting 50 runs in his innings, Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma was named man of the match. With a final attendance of about 67,000, the final was sold out.
IPL 2014 Winner KKR
The Indian Premier League final between Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders took place on June 1, 2014, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Kolkata Knight Riders chose to field first after winning the toss. After 20 overs, Kings XI Punjab put up a formidable 199/4 for their opponent. With three balls remaining and seven wickets lost, Kolkata Knight Riders successfully chased the target and won their second IPL trophy. In the Final, Manish Pandey was named player of the match.
IPL 2013 Winner Mumbai Indians
The Indian Premier League 2013 championship game, which took place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 26, 2013, featured the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Kieron Pollard’s flawless 60 runs from 32 balls, which won him the man of the match award, helped Mumbai defeat Chennai by 23 runs.
After losing to Chennai in 2010, Mumbai made their IPL Final comeback and took home their first trophy. In an attempt to capture their third championship, Chennai was competing in their fifth IPL Final. In addition, even though he was injured and missed the game, it was the last IPL cricket match played by Mumbai’s Sachin Tendulkar. At the end of the game, he declared his resignation from the Indian Premier League.

IPL 2012 Winner KKR
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) launched the Indian Premier League in 2007, with the first season taking place in 2008. The 2012 season, often known as the IPL 5 or the IPL 2012 or the DLF IPL 2012 (due to title sponsorship reasons), was the league’s fifth season.
The competition ran from April 4 to May 27, 2012. In the championship match, the winning side, Kolkata Knight Riders, defeated the reigning champions, Chennai Super Kings, by a margin of five wickets. Due to Kochi Tuskers Kerala’s dissolution, the league’s total number of teams decreased from 10 to nine for this season.
IPL 2011 Winner CSK
The first-ever IPL team to win back-to-back championships is the Channai Super Kings. The batting heavyweights of the competition, the RCB, faced off against the reigning champions. Michael Hussey, the man known as “Mr. Cricket,” was a major asset to CSK’s batting lineup, contributing several crucial innings throughout the competition. The major factor in CSK’s title defense against the Royal Challengers Bangalore was Hussey and Murali Vijay’s opening partnership of 159 runs.
IPL 2010 Winner CSK
After missing the trophy in the first edition, MS Dhoni eventually raised it. From the beginning of the competition, players such as Suresh Raina, Mathew Hayden, Albie Morkel, Muralitharan, and Dhoni himself were among the leading contenders for the trophy. As the foundation of the team’s batting order throughout the competition, Suresh Raina was simply outstanding with the bat. His innings of 57 not out of 35 in the final against the Mumbai Indians captained by Sachin Tendulkar illuminated CSK’s path to victory.
IPL 2009 Winner Decan Chargers
The Chargers, captained by Adam Gilchrist, emerged victorious in the Indian Premier League’s second season. The team had some excellent hitters such young Rohit Sharma, Andrew Symonds, and Herschelle Gibbs. Pragyan Ojha, who took 18 wickets in the competition with his left-arm spin bowling, was a vital member of the side. After Mathew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist finished second on the season’s list of highest run scorers with 495 runs scored in 16 games.
IPL 2008 Winner Rajasthan Royals
The Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural Indian Premier League thanks to Shane Warne’s leadership. The foundation of the Rajasthan Royals in the first edition was a well balanced team featuring seasoned batsmen like Graeme Smith and Shane Watson, an explosive middle-order batsman in Yusuf Pathan, and a crafty bowler in Sohail Tanvir. However, Yusuf Pathan had the game of his life in the championship match against the Chennai Super Kings, making contributions in both the batting and bowling departments. Yusuf first hit a rapid 56 from 39 balls while taking three vital wickets at a run rate of less than a bowl.
