Chris Gayle holds the record for most runs scored by a batsman in IPL history with 175 not out in just 66 balls. The left-handed batsman for the West Indies is thought to be the best in T20 cricket history. In the 2013 Indian Premier League, Gayle set a record while playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Sahara Pune Warriors at Bangalore’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. His batting run was driven by 13 fours and 17 sixes.

2. Brendon McCullum 158*

On the first night of the 2008 Indian Premier League, Brendon McCullum was all over the place. He helped the Kolkata Knight Riders overcome the Royal Challengers Bangalore by scoring a record 158 runs off just 73 balls. With 10 fours and 13 sixes in his batting run throughout the game, he became the second-highest scorer in IPL history. As KKR trounced RCB by a record 140 runs, he was named Player of the Match.

3. Quinton de Kock 140*

Quinton de Kock scored an incredible 140* off 70 balls in the Lucknow Super Giants vs. Kolkata Knight Riders 2022 IPL match. With KL Rahul, who hit an undefeated 68 off 51 deliveries, he had an unbeaten partnership of 210 runs. Throughout his innings, the South African left-hander hit ten fours and as many sixes, helping LSG to win the innings without losing a single wicket.

4. AB de Villiers 133*

AB de Villiers scored a historic 133 runs off of 59 balls during the 2015 Indian Premier League match between the Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Along with Virat Kohli, who struck 82 runs off 50 balls, they shared a 215-run partnership. The squad won the game by 39 runs thanks to the skillful batters who finished his inning with 19 fours and 4 sixes.

5. Lokesh Rahul 132*

In the UAE for the 2020 Indian Premier League, KL Rahul, the captain of Punjab, crushed the Bangalore squad for 132 runs in one innings. In the lucrative league, this is the greatest individual score achieved by an Indian player. Rahul scored 69 runs without conceding a wicket with 14 fours and 7 sixes. Punjab won by 97 runs after scoring 206/3 in the first innings and bowling out the opposition for a just 109 runs.

6. AB de Villiers 129*

With the aid of his 10 fours and 12 sixes, ABD scored an incredible 129 runs for 52 balls against the Gujarat Lions in 2016, moving him up to the sixth-highest position in IPL history. After Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the Delhi Daredevils in 2018, Rishabh Pant—the ninth-highest scorer in IPL history—had the most spectacular knock of the game. Murali Vijay’s iconic 127 knockoff 56 deliveries for Chennai Super Kings against Rajasthan Royals in the 2010 Indian Premier League comes in last on this list. He was the first player to take the field and he hit eight fours and eleven sixes to help lead CSK to a winning score of 246/5. It remains the highest IPL score for a CSK player and the tenth-highest score for the whole IPL.
